General Questions

1What is iPegs?
iPEGS (Paperless Evidence Gathering Solutions) is an innovative mobile app that enables a wide variety of industries to build customised forms and documents within a digital environment. iPEGS is an all-in-one form building solution. It allows the user to create and complete custom forms, surveys, attendance registers, time sheets and then add an electronic signature. For maximum security iPegs enables you to add FaceStamp, TimeStamp and DateStamp to the signature ensuring maximum authenticity within a user-friendly app. Create and complete your documents in minutes then easily integrate with your software or database by exporting in a variety of formats.
2What platforms/devices can I download iPEGS for?
Currently you can download iPEGS for iPads (iOS) and Android Tablets. Some small tablets (Phablets) are actually classed as Smart Phones with which the app may not be compatible. You can also run iPEGS on your PC or laptop if you have BlueStacks installed.
3Why isn’t the app available on phones?
The primary purpose of the App is to enable users to build and/or complete forms. Long or particularly complex forms aren't easy to build, complete and review on smaller screens, therefore iPEGS is currently only available to download on tablet devices. Our Enterprise clients can also view and build forms via their online dashboard, accessible from any online device. Our MiPEGS App is a separate solution available for smartphones. Find out more HERE
4Is iPEGS Free?
iPEGS Form Builder is free to download– however, certain features are not available until you sign up to iPegs Form Builder Pro or iPEGS Enterprise.
5What is FaceStamp?
iPEGS FaceStamp enables you to take a photo of the person who is adding their signature and this photo is added to the signature along with the date and time stamp to provide 100% authenticity of the signature.
6What Are The Minimum Device Requirements For Android Devices?
Camera - Front and Back, GPS, Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) or above, Resolution 1024 x 600, 7 inch or above, 1 GB RAM or above, 2 GB Internal memory or above.
7Can I Use iPEGS on my PC or Laptop?
Yes you can. First, you will need to download a software package called BlueStacks, this will allow you to run apps on your PC or laptop. We have a tutorial on how to install Bluestacks here.

Attendance Registers

1What types of registers can I create?
You can create 2 types of registers: Group Registers and Individual Timesheets
2Why does iPEGS only have 2 questionnaire types?
We found that 1-5 and Yes/No answers where the most common fixed format questionnaires and this also enables the App to generate reports and charts based on the data collected. If you want to create an open answer questionnaire you can use the Custom Form Builder.
3Can I save a register as a template so that I can edit or reuse it in the future?
Yes – to save you time, you can save any register type as a template which you can edit and modify at a later date.
4How do I add a signature?
You can add a signature by simply holding down your finger and selecting ‘Insert Signature’ button.
5How to I add a FaceStamp to a signature?
You can add a FaceStamp to the signature by simply holding down your finger and selecting ‘Insert Face Stamp’ button.
6What formats can I export registers in?
Depending on your package, you can export registers in PDF, Excel, CSV, Word Document and .iPEGS document formats.
7How do I export a register?
Depending on your package you can export completed registers either via email or to Dropbox or you can submit to the iPEGS web portal.

Form Builder

1What field types can I add to a custom form?
iPEGS Custom Form Builder has a wide range of field types including: Heading, Sub Heading, Line Break, Text Field, Number, Currency, Email, Percentage, Date, Time, Text Area, Free Text, Check-box, Radio Button and Pick List
2Can I adjust the alignment of the field?
Yes – you can align the field to the left, centre or right of the form
3Can I adjust the alignment of the field label?
Yes – you can align the field labels to the left, centre or right of the field
4Can I make fields 'Mandatory' in a custom form?
Yes – iPEGS gives you the option to make a field 'mandatory'.
5Can I re-arrange the order of the fields?
Yes – you can drag fields up and down to re-arrange the order
6Can I save a custom form as a template so that I can edit or reuse it in the future?

Document Management

1Can I access all of my documents in once place?
Yes – you can view and access all documents in iPEGS in the My Documents section.
2Can I see a record of all documents that I have exported?
Yes – iPEGS has details of all exported documents in the ‘Export History’ section in My Documents.

Electronic Signatures and FaceStamp

1What is an Electronic Signature?
An electronic signature, or e-signature is a legally recognized way for individuals to approve the content of a digital document and, in short, is a digital version of your personal signature.
2What is FaceStamp?
iPEGS FaceStamp enables you to take a photo of the person who is adding their signature and this photo is added to the signature along with the date and time stamp to provide further authenticity of the signature.
3How do I add a signature to an iPEGS document?
You can add a signature to any document in iPEGS by simply holding down your finger down your finger and selecting ‘Insert Signature’.
4How do I add a signature to an imported document?
You can add a signature by simply selecting the ‘Pen/Pencil’ icon in to the menu and then holding down your finger and selecting ‘Insert Signature’ button.
5How do I add a name to the signature?
You can add a name to the signature by simply holding down your finger on the signature and selecting the ‘Insert Name’ button.
6How to I add a FaceStamp to a signature?
You can add a FaceStamp to the signature by simply holding down your finger on the signature and selecting the ‘Insert Face Stamp’ button.
7Are Electronic Signatures Legal?

Import and Export

1How do I import a document from my email into iPEGS?
You can import a PDF or Word document into iPEGS via email by opening your email, tapping and holding the document you want to import and then selecting the iPEGS Icon.
2How do I import a document from Dropbox into iPEGS?
You can import a PDF or Word document into iPEGS via Dropbox by opening Dropbox, selecting the document you want to import and then press the ‘Open In’ button in the top right hand corner and then selecting the iPEGS Icon.
3Can I add signatures to imported documents?
Yes, you can add multiple signatures, date and FaceStamp to any imported documents.
4Can I add text to imported documents?
Yes, you can add text to any imported documents and this text can be manipulated in such a way that it can fit into specific areas within the document.
5Can I add freehand writing to imported documents?
Yes, you can freehand on any imported documents.
6Can I print an edited imported document directly to a printer?
Yes – you can send your imported document directly to a printer providing it is wireless.
7Can I save an imported document before I edit it?
Yes – you can save an imported document before you edit it.
8What formats can I export an imported document in?
You can only export an imported document in PDF format.
9How do I export an imported document?
You can export an imported document either via email or to Dropbox.

Notepad

1Can I create my own notes in iPEGS?
Yes – with iPEGS notepad you can create and save your own notes as required.
2Can I add a signature to a note?
Yes – you can add as many signatures as you like to a note in the same way as you can add a signature to a questionnaire, register or custom form.
3Can I export a note?
Yes – you can export a note via email or to Dropbox.

Reporting

1What reports can I generate in iPEGS?
You can generate reports on Questionnaires and Registers.
2Why can I not run reports on Custom Forms?
iPEGS can only generate reports on fixed data that is recorded in Questionnaires and Registers. However, you can export custom forms in Excel format which will allow you to generate your own reports and charts.
3What kind of charts can I generate?
All reports create a table of data and a bar chart of this data. Pie charts are only available for group registers.
4What formats can I export reports in?
Depending on your package, you can export registers in PDF, Excel, CSV, Word Document and .iPEGS document formats.
5How do I export a report?

Settings

1Can I upload my own logo to iPEGS?
Depending on your package, you can upload your own logo within app settings and then specify which documents you want the logo to be added to. Enterprise users need use the Company Branding option within the Web Portal.
2Can I upload my own footer to iPEGS?
Depending on your package, you can upload your own footer within app settings and then specify which documents you want the logo to be added to. Enterprise users need use the Company Branding option within the Web Portal.
3Can I change the default Time format?
Yes – you can choose either 24 hour or 12 hour clock mode
