How we protect your data
How secure is an Electronic Signature?
As secure as your normal, hand written signature! An electronic signature, or e-signature, is a legally recognized way for individuals to approve the content of a digital document
By differentiation, a digital signature is a mathematical algorithm that identifies the unique sender to a receiver. E-signatures are legally recognised by 27 countries world-wide, and a variety of industries and market leading brands are increasingly implementing e-signature technology. Not only does implementing e-signature technology enable digitisation, it also offers an extra level of security to processes via digital audit trails and document control. In the UK, e-signatures are protected by the Electronic Communications Act 2000 and further regulation, Electronic Identification and Trust Services, will be implemented in July 2016.
